A foundation either performs or it disappears into your routine. The difference between the two is rarely the formulation. It is the match.
ORÉ was founded inside a working clinic, where the wrong shade is not a return — it is a conversation across the consultation chair. We built this promise so that the standard does not change when the purchase moves online.
How we match you
Every shade recommendation begins with Match My Makeup, our guided shade consultation. It is designed from Yvonne Fokianos’s twenty-seven years of in-clinic shade work — undertone, depth, skin condition, and the specific way Australian light falls on a face between mid-morning and late afternoon.
The recommendation it returns is considered, not algorithmic. It is the same conversation we would have with you in person.
The promise
If the first ORÉ complexion product you order is not the right shade, we will replace it with the correct one within thirty days of delivery.
- The promise covers Liquid Foundation, Loose Mineral Foundation and BB Cream.
- You may have used, partially used, or set aside the original. We do not require it to be unused.
- Oré covers return postage.
- If the replacement also needs adjusting, we will exchange a second time. The second exchange is paired with a fresh Match My Makeup consultation, so the next recommendation is informed by what we have learned about your skin.
What to do if your shade is not right
- Email customer care at [hello@oremineralmakeup.com.au] within thirty days of delivery, with your order number and a short note on how the shade is sitting.
- We will respond within one business day with a prepaid return label and, where helpful, a brief follow-up to confirm the correct replacement shade.
- Your replacement is dispatched as soon as the return is in transit. You do not wait for it to arrive at our end.
Why we built it this way
A first foundation should not feel like a gamble. Especially at a clinical price point, on an unfamiliar brand, ordered to a postcode rather than chosen in person. The Shade Match Promise removes the one piece of that decision that should never sit with the customer — the uncertainty.
The formulation is our responsibility. The match is, too.

Yes. The recipient is welcome to request the replacement directly, using the order number included on the gift note.
